It doesn't matter how old you are if you're still in school, or married and have your own kids. There are certain scenes captured on film that you never want to see while your parents are sitting beside you. The chances are that your parents don't want to watch them with you either. I've been sitting through many a movie with my mom when I got suddenly very interested in my phone and she had the urgent need to go to the kitchen and make tea.
There are many movies that will make us behave like that, but here is a starting list of movies that you should avoid when your parents are around.
1. Requiem For A Dream (2000)
This is a good movie if you don't mind something deep, depressing, and very intense. Requiem lends itself to a status of a classic and a favorite of many. I'm personally not a fan, maybe because of the sex scenes that although appear consensual are really something much darker altogether.
Even more so than the scenes in the clip above, there are some totally NSFW images in this film that will totally mess you up. Like this one.
2. Blue Valentine (2010)
This story of a tumultuous relationship between Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams famously features a very naughty scene of oral sex. And although you might get turned on by Ryan's display of cunnilingus, you definitely don't want your parents around for that.
3. 50 Shades of Gray (2015)
I'm actually very disinterested in this movie and wouldn't watch it even if my parents were not around. But judging by the whole premise of the film and the clip above, this movie might be best enjoyed in the absence of parents.
